GPX-4000 Gold Detector

The Ultimate Gold Prospecting Metal Detector

This is an entirely new class of gold machine, unlike anything the industry has seen before - incorporating features and benefits unmatched by any detector previously offered to the general public!

To operate effectively and search deep, gold metal detectors have to eliminate mineralized ground signals which vastly exceed the tiny emission from deep gold targets. Only Minelab's patented, Multi-Period Sensing (MPS) and Dual Voltage Technology (DVT) is specifically designed to punch deep for gold; no matter how bad the soil mineralization is. Through a radically new design, Minelab's gold machines are undisputedly recognized as the BEST gold detectors in the world!

New Functions: No other detector gives you more control over performance.

- New Gain - The gain function sets the overall sensitivity level of your detector. In areas where search conditions are mild, you can increase gain. Conversely, decrease gain in mineralized area. Our sophisticated gain control used in combination with other functions such as timing, audio, and ground balance enhance, the performance.
- New Sensitive Timings - With 2 new sensitive option, the GPX-4000 offers dramatically reduced "hot rock" signals and false ground noise in "hot" ground conditions (Smooth Timing), and extra depth on large targets in "mild" ground conditions (Extra Timing).
- New Ground Balance Type - The GPX-4000's new "Specific Ground Balance" mode will make detecting hot grounds easier than ever before; especially when using Mono-Loop coils.
- New Response - Between large nuggets, prospectors also find many small nuggets. The deep large nuggets can be made more audible with the GPX-4000 new response function. By inverting normal target response deeper, larger nuggets will produce a response closer to that of smaller nuggets.
- New Motion - The GPX-4000 will automatically optimize detecting performance based on the GPX-4000's sweep speed set by the operator.
- New Volume Limit - The volume can now be set to reduce loud signals without compromising signal strength.

New Lithium-Ion Battery: Offers the most longevity of any battery.

- Increased full time power compared to conventional batteries
- Operates the GPX-4000 for over 12 hours.
- Robust and lightweight aluminum housing.
- Self-contained intelligent charging system
- Three to four hours rapid charge time from 12v vehicle or AC adaptor.
- Power monitoring on LCD display.

New LCD Function Display: Allows you to select variable settings for key functions.

- Precisely remember settings for future use,
- No More unintentional change of key settings,
- Personal Settings saved automatically on shut down,
- Restore factory presets at any time.
- Improved Control Panel Layout: The most commonly used functions are now conveniently and cleverly located on the front panel for quick and easy access.

Pre-Set Search Modes: Patch Finding, General Searching and Deep-Seeking.

Experienced prospectors know that different search techniques require different advanced settings on the detector. For best results and maximum performance, the GPX-4000 offers three pre-programmed search modes for three common prospecting techniques.
- The GPX-4000 can be customized to your own preferred settings for each technique or search mode.
- Patch finding
- General Detecting
- Deep Detecting

DIAMOND SEAL TECHNOLOGY

Brizo is developing new technologies that further aid in water purity. Our DIAMOND Seal Technology uses a diamond-coated valve to keep water from coming into contact with outside contaminants. Additionally, our InnoFlex waterways use PEX-C tubing that not only makes new designs possible, it's completely lead-free. It will be better for all water seal.

New Ferrari F70 2009

The Ferrari F70 will be based on the Aurea Concept launched by Ferrari in 2004. The Aurea Project was born from the desire to place the F1 DNA on a normal car. This is what the new F70 will be about: a car with the design and power of a F1 car, but specially designed for the road.

On designing the Enzo, Ferrari needed to make some compromises in order that both the design and the technologies of the car to be satisfied. So they build the Enzo on aerodynamic consideration. But when they build the FXX they have realized that the Enzo could have all the technologies they had to give up. And in the F70 case all the aerodynamic will be hide under the car. The result is that the exterior design of the F70 won’t be affected by compromises, like in the case of the Enzo due to the aerodynamic technology developed by Ferrari and used in the FXX.

The front design will combine modern elements inspired from F1 cars with retro touches from the old supercars. The F70 will be made of carbon-fibre, and this will help to reduce the weight, thing that is necessary considering the big output of the car.

Like on the future F430 CS, the F70 will feature Magnesium sport wheels and the carbon grille in the back (also good to better cool the engine). The brakes will be upgraded with bigger discs, the soft Pirelli P-Zero tires give the car enormous grip, and the interior is completed with deep sport seats.

In the same style as the Ferrari P4/5, the F70’s two exhaust pipes will be mounted like the F1 cars on the top of the back end, and other two down in the diffuser.

The Ferrari Enzo it is powered by a V12 engine delivering 660 hp. The power on the F70 will grow with around 100 hp. Initially there were rumors that the F70 will have an output more than 800 hp, but Ferrari said that they have no intention of building a competitor for the Bugatti Veyron, and also a car with such an output will generate lots of problems, including heating and weight.

It is expected that the V12 on the F70 to deliver not more than 750 hp. This output will help the car to make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in less than 3 seconds and a top speed of 235 hp.

Ferrari limited the Enzo at 390 units. We expect that the F70 to be limited at 300 units and be priced somewhere at $700.000.

The new Nokia 2009 mobile phone exposure

Dec. 7, after Nokia in the "NOKIA World 2008 Conference" on a new flagship-class Nokia N97 in the near future, we have been able to learn about the new Nokia plans to touch the next step. The following picture is said to Nokia in Brooklyn's meeting revealed that although this picture is not really picture plane, but seems to imply that we have a Nokia mobile phone's touch in the future development direction.
From the point of view the future exposure photos of the Nokia smart phone does not seem to touch the current S60 operating system and its interface than the current system in its smart drive on the S60 platform to use the more complex. Of course, the future is the Nokia 2009 mobile phone touch focus on the force for one year prior to the on-line exposure of a range of Nokia's new 2009, Nokia has also aroused a lot of fans.
Nokia plans from the point of view finally began to rival the Apple iPhone, the Nokia 2009 seems to touch on the new machine's design is not simply imitate but to catch up with a comprehensive iPhone. While it is too early, but it is touch in the new interface may be better than Apple's iPhone would also like to be more beautiful.

Sony's OLED, Wi-Fi Walkman Gets Priced to Go Head-to-Head With the iPod Touch

Sony's X1000-series Walkman PMP, which packs a gorgeous OLED screen and Wi-Fi, is likely to be priced at to directly compete with Apple's iPod touch, according to an early appearance on Sony's site.
On Sony's "SonyRewards" site, the X1000-series unexpectedly popped up with a price, albeit in Sony's "points" currency. But if we convert from Sony points to, you know, actual money, the X1000 will come in at $299 and $399 for the 16GB/32GB versions, respectively. That's exactly the same as Apple's price on its equivalent iPod touch models.
The X1000-series includes a lot of features the iPod touch doesn't, like the all-important OLED screen, noise-cancelling technology, an FM tuner, and Sony's vaunted sound quality, but the iPod touch has been an established smash hit for years now and we wish Sony would have undercut to make more of a splash. This is just a rumor, at the moment, but an appearance on an official Sony site is pretty solid evidence that these will be the final prices. [Sony Rewards (16GB, 32GB) via Engadget]

Steorn asserting first constant free energy technology

Every new invention raises a hope against the biggest threat that constantly lingers around, that is, the ever depleting energy. This day on 20 Aug 2006, Steorn claims in the Economist the invention of the technology which can supply free, clean and constant energy. This technology is claimed to provide power to vehicles, to engines, to mobiles without any recharging. The technology focused on interaction of magnetic fields, that results in energy creation without any loss, so this is the direct opposition of the ‘Principle of the Conservation of Energy’. Steorn is asking for the public validation and endorsement of the scientific community since its uses can cater many urgent global needs, including security of energy supply and zero emission energy production. Steorn wants its use as a royalty-free technology by energy sector in third world for basic needs such as electrification projects

Electronics Invention - New Flash Memory Device

Electronics Invention - - Say goodbye to external hard drives. A research team in Singapore, A*STAR, is in the process of developing a new way to store memory. A*STAR has invented a new "phase change material." The phase change materials are substances, "that are capable of changing their structure between amorphous and crystalline at high speed." The phase change material could replace FLASH memory used right now. This is how it works: Conventionally, PCM is worked by changing phase change materials' structure through applying an electric current. Now, phase change might be effected by means of switching the new phase change materials by using magnetic fields.

Brand New Energy-generating Shoes

When the human beings existed in million years ago, our ancestor still having their bare feet and walking around like a Barbarian (Sorry, I have no offense about it, but our ancestor really an uncivilized living creature in the very beginning!)
Thanks to the brain, human beings starting to involve throughout the time and in the end, we have becoming one of the smartest living creatures that dominate this mother Earth!
The rapidly growing science and technology has bringing us to an advanced stage, where there are more and more incredible and marvelous gadgets have been introduced and available on the market.
Everyday, there are over hundred or thousand of new invention being developed and under testing process. And, there are over 45%-50% of these specimen will be eliminated in the testing period. As a result, those gadgets that selling in the market place has already passed numerous tests!
Let take this NTT’s Energy-generating Shoes as a sample. It’s a special shoe that can generate electricity when the user walking. The shoes have a small generator that has been attached to water-filled soles. Each of the steps will put pressure on the soles and it will cause the water to spin a small turbine and generate power.
These so-called “futuristic” shoes can be generated up to 1.2 watts of electricity, which it can be used to run an iPod mobile music player constantly, if only the user keep on walking…

Wireless Mouse A Pen

Who knew that a wireless mouse could actually double up as a pen? Well, this unique device functions as a standard pen for you to put down your John Hancock, but when you detach the receiver and hook it up to your USB port, the pen turns into a wireless mouse. I would say this is great for casual browsing only, as you wouldn't want to involve in some hardcore graphics design with something like this. A pretty nifty idea - hopefully the pen comes with refillable cartridges or else it'd be a waste to purchase a new unit each time round.

Stunning sports car from Hybrid Technologies is aiming for 220 mpg

Over the years we've seen plenty of ultra cool rides that manage to combine green living with high performance by going electric. The problem is that America's love of the open road doesn't jibe well with the 200-250 mile range of most electric cars, so hybrids are a good way to stay green without putting you on a leash.
This upcoming model from Hybrid Technologies is slated to be available within a couple of years with a choice of two different drivetrains. An all electric version with a 150-170 mile range, and a gasoline-electric hybrid that aims to capture the Automotive X Prize by managing at least 220 mpg.
This sounds amazing if they manage to pull it off, but for now let's stick it in the "I'll believe it when I see it" file.

EV Innovations unveils electric cars

We're at the New York International Auto Show today, and one of the first things that caught our eye was the Wave, a brand new plug-in electric car from EV Innovations (formerlyHybrid technologies). The car is meant to be an affordable electric vehicle for commuters — it can get up to 170 miles on a charge. It starts at $34,000. And though the version at the show is just a prototype, the company claims it's not a concept, and that you can order one online starting today.
But with a top speed of 80 mph, the Wave isn't going to win any races. That's why EV Innovations also introduced the Inizio EVS (red interior and render pictured below), an all-electric sports car with a top speed of 170 mph that can go from 0-60 in just 4 seconds. The Inizio EVS can go 200 miles on a charge. But these upgrades from the Wave don't come cheap—the sports car costs more than $100,000 more than the Wave, with a starting price of $139,000. If they work, these two should give the Tesla Roadster and Tesla Model S a run for their money, but we'd feel more confident in the company's claims if it had brought working models to the show.

Solar Icemaker

Just when you thought ice cube-creation technology had peaked, a team of engineering students from San Jose State University has come up an ice maker that has zero carbon footprint. It’s more than an eco-party trick — consider it an electricity-free alternative to refrigeration and air conditioning, which is critical if you happen to be somewhere off of the electrical grid, like in the developing world or in a disaster zone.
It works like this: the solar icemaker uses a refrigerant liquid that evaporates when exposed to the sun. The vapor travels through pipes that come into contact an absorbent material, which cools when the sun goes down. Once the slow-cooling absorbent hits 104°F, the refrigerant turns back into a liquid and its temperature drops like a rock to below freezing because of pressure differences. Put some water next to the evaporator’s exterior and, presto, ice.
A typical icemaker uses electricity to run a compressor to do this work, but the solar icemaker just uses solar energy, with no moving parts. And the systems are sealed, so barring a leak, they'll never need replenishing. The icemaker makes about 14 pounds of ice per day — more than enough for the margaritas at your end-of-summer barbecue. The students' prototype isn't available yet, but maybe next summer….
